Little Harold started by accident in early 2000 when 3 studio musicians were stood up by a client for an upcoming Pop/Top 40 project. Having a free day in the studio, they proceeded to transmogrify the song that was scheduled to be recorded that night. Pooling everything from James Brown to Soundgarden, the final result was intoxicating, and therapeutic. It was no surprise to anyone that the client passed on this arrangement, and opted for the POP vibe he had previously envisioned...
The band didn’t pursue any live shows for several years as they were always being booked to play on other people’s projects. They were content on recording extended ‘Jam Sessions’ to satisfy musical needs and wants. That is, until Winter 2002 when a club manager heard one of these demos and asked the band to play its first show. Trying to take almost 2 years of raw ideas and put them into a cohesive set was quite a challenge, but the crowd’s enthusiasm encouraged the boys to take a serious step towards recording their first album. Entitled Dog Umbrella, the guys hope to have it completed in the Summer of 2006. We will try to provide some "sneak preview" clips soon!
The band will soon be featured on the website for Sara Racey-Tabrizi, from UPN's America's Next Top Model (Season 2). Check out her site at www.sararacey.com.
